Accuracy note: Typically ±10% for blend composition (e.g. Cotton 90% ± 10%). Detection threshold 5–10% for contamination in pure materials. Cannot separate chemically identical fibres such as wool vs alpaca. Cannot identify elastane below 5%. Does not identify 3+ component blends.
Identification limits: Elastane content below 5% may not be reliably detected; most garments fall below this threshold. FabriTell is optimised for single and two-component blends; garments with three or more fibre components may return the two dominant fibres. Contact us if you have specific blend types to discuss.
